-
Do you provide dyslexia-friendly or large-print editions?Every title uses a clear 16-pt sans-serif font on matte paper to reduce glare. We’re exploring a true large-print line—join our mailing list for updates!
-
Are the stories intentionally written for neurodivergent children?Yes. The author is autistic and with ADHD family members, so every plotline celebrates different thinking styles rather than pathologizing them. Mo often models autistic traits (routine, sensory focus, analytical problem-solving) while Milo embodies ADHD strengths (spontaneity, creative risk-taking). The friendship shows how contrasting brains can complement each other.
-
What design features support neurodivergent readers?16-pt, open-shaped sans-serif typeface for easier letter recognition Matte, low-glare paper to reduce visual fatigue Clear visual sequencing—action flows left-to-right, page-to-page so kids can predict “what’s next”
-
How do you make sure the portrayal of autism and ADHD is authentic—not a stereotype?Mo & Milo is rooted in lived experience. I’m autistic myself, and several close family members have ADHD—so the routines, sensory quirks, and spur-of-the-moment bursts you see on the page come from real life, not a checklist. Each draft is road-tested with a small circle of neurodivergent friends and relatives (autistic and ADHD). Their first-hand notes guide every revision. As the series grows, I’m expanding that circle to include more autistic and ADHD educators, therapists, and parents so each new book reflects an even wider range of voices. Authenticity here isn’t a one-time stamp—it’s an ongoing conversation.
-
Do the books address sensory sensitivities?Yes—Mo & Milo stories already highlight two common sensory styles: Mo prefers predictable routines and quiet spaces, so you’ll see her choose the same breakfast bowl and step away when the garbage truck roars by. Milo thrives on big sensory input—splashes through sprinklers, sniffs every mailbox—which sometimes means he has to pause and refocus. We’re actively adding more tools (think calming checklists, “focus frame” exercises, and comfort-zone activities) to future titles so families and classrooms can practice strategies right alongside the pups. Join our newsletter for sneak peeks as those features roll out!
